  • Provide and improve Tripel features and performance.
  • Enable account creation, login, and trip collaboration.
  • Store and display your uploaded photos and videos.
  • Track expenses and help users split trip costs.
  • Create and fulfill printed photo book orders.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data:

  • With other Tripel users when you share a trip or collaborate in-app.
  • With service providers who help operate Tripel (for example hosting, cloud storage, analytics, and payment processing).

Third-Party Services

Tripel uses trusted third-party services to operate the app, including:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud hosting and media storage
  • Stripe for payment processing
  • Analytics providers for app performance and usage analytics
  • Push notification services to deliver trip and account notifications

These third-party providers only process personal information as needed to provide their services to Tripel and in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Tripel services. We may retain certain information for longer periods where required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or security purposes.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and stored on servers located outside your country, including in the United States and other regions where our service providers operate. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is handled securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Data Storage & Security

Tripel uses cloud infrastructure, including AWS S3, to store media and related data. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.

No system is completely secure, but we continuously work to improve our security controls.

Payments

Payments for printed photo books are processed through Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. Payment information is handled by Stripe in accordance with Stripe's own privacy and security standards.

Your Rights

Depending on your location (including the EEA/UK and similar jurisdictions), you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your personal information.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Request a portable copy of your data, where applicable.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.

Account Deletion

Tripel is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy in the app or on our website and revise the effective date.
